New to Canningvale area Rss

Hello Everyone smile

I just moved to Piara Waters, Canning vale, after living in Rockingham so it's a whole new world out here for us...haha
I have a 2.5yr old boy Sebastian, and a 10 month old boy Matteo.
Would like to know about local playgroups, parks, Shopping Centre's, bulk billing GP's and would also like to meet some new friends!

If you can be of any help that would be awesome
Thanks guys!

Hey there! My name is Renee, I'm 24 and live in Southern River (right on the Canning Vale border). smile I have a 3yro son and am 23 weeks pregnant with boy #2.

I went to a couple playgroups around here, but the people were very snobby and not very welcoming so I only lasted a couple months before I got bored and moved on. But we have an EXCELLENT GP (Canning Vale Medical Centre, behind Livingstone shops) who I'd recommend to anyone. He's so brilliant.

There's some gorgeous parks all over the place here. I'd suggest if you have some bikes, go on regular family bike-rides around your area and just check out all the streets etc; you're bound to find some great parks! There's also a gorgeous one off Amherst Road, behind the Nicholson Rd Caltex. There's another one in Santurary waters (I think it's called), just off Ranford road, behind the IGA shopping centre. Ummmm, but yeah just go for a ride or drive around and you'll find plenty of playgrounds/parks. smile

Livingstone shopping centre is great for basics, although I personally find the Southern River Woolies much better quality (that, and it's 2mins walk from my house! lol), it's called the Vale shops and is on Warton road. There is also Cockburn shopping centre, off old armadale road, they have a few good shops there too! Plus, we're only 10mins away from the huge shopping centre Westfield Carosel (on Albany hwy, Cannington).

That's all I can think of now! If you have any more questions etc, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer. grin Oh and welcome to the neighbourhood. smile Canning Vale is an absolutely gorgeous place to raise a family. I want to stay here forever. laugh
Hello! There are a few different kiddy things around, like Forte music and Monkey Bars, but they are a little pricey so will depend on your budget! There is rhyme time at Excelsior Primary School on Shreeve Road (9455 5811) which I'm pretty sure is free and I have heard the Church on Southern River Road has just started a little playgroup on Fridays, which you pay a 50c donation each visit. The Riverton Leisureplex has some nice kid sized pools too. In Armadale (not far away) there is a playcentre called Activate on Albany Hwy and also Communicare brings a whole bunch of toys to memorial park on Jull St on Wednesday mornings at 9.30am (also free). Hope that gives you some more ideas smile Feel free to ask away with any more questions!

Edited to say the medical centre on Ranford Rd behind coles also bulk bills kidlets and is pretty easy to get into.
