only two high schools (MacKillop and Busselton Senior High).

Are you coming for work or are you planning on finding something when you arrive? Where are you moving from?
I love it here. Took me about a year to fully settle back in though. We don't have any big shopping centres here. Two small ones that have a couple of chain stores (Jeanswest, Sanity, Rockmans, Best & Less) and a target country. You don't move here for the shopping though wink Our hospital is about to undergo an expansion. I think it's supposed to be finished around 2014/15?? Anything major though and you have to go over to Bunbury (about 40 mins)
Schools are good, depending on what part of town you're in.
What else do you want to know?

I'm not from Busselton but from Bunbury which is only a 35 min drive north of Buso. I used to spend heaps of time in Busselton!
Busselton has grown heaps in the last couple of years, heaps of new shops have gone in and there is everything that you need there, including cinemas, sports centers, take away shops (thought they're not 24hr that i know of). Its a very beautiful town being on the beach! The hospital is pretty good, I've only had to go there once through ED but they were very fast and got me fixed up straight away. If there is anything the hospital can't handle its only a 35min ambulance trip to Bunbury's hospital.
Buso is great because its the gateway to all the holiday and tourist towns in the south west. The last big town before you hit lots of wineries, brewries, bush and beaches. It also hosts the last drive in cinema in WA!
If you have children there are a couple primary schools to choose from but only two high schools (MacKillop and Busselton Senior High). There are heaps of different sporting groups in the area.
If there is anything else you need to know feel free to ask smile

The roads aren't busy except for this time of year. Everyone comes for holidays around Christmas time and every weekend between now and easter so much busier, but still not busy compared to city standards. We're a country area so lots of country roads could do with upgrading, all our main highways are good though.
Can't think of any reason why rent would be cheaper, country areas do tend to be though. There is a huge variation here though. There are beachside propertys that you can rent for upwards of $500 but there are plenty of average family homes in nice areas for around $300-350/wk
What does your dh do?
