I have to say that making an appointment to see an ob is so not worth it, can some one tell me why I have to have one?, In New Zealand the only time you see an ob is if you have a complicated pregnancy, other wise it's midwives all the way, so much easier than turning up to you ob appointment only to be told that there are at least 6 others ahead of you and that you could be waiting for at least 4-6 hours before you are seen, why is Australia so backward?

Are you going private?? Cause if you are then that may be why, but if not you don't have to see an OB unless you have a complicated pregnancy as far as i am aware!!

Its so they can assess your history and make sure you are suitable for midwives
