Canberra Restaurants Rss

Havent lived in canberra too long so dont know many good restaurants.
Anyone know of any good ones or cafes or any food places at all that you love??
Flint in new acton. My friend was one if the main chefs for awhile.

I'm also a fan of babars in the city, it's not too pricey for a meal.

Dobinsons a great cafe, they make great pastries, tarts and pies!

there are loads if great places around! I don't know what part if Canberra your located, but I'm north side so usually only go belconnen or city!
Use to live in Belconnen and there is great cafe in Bruce just opposite the AIS. Very nice food and the waiters aren't bad to look at either!!
Hi,
There are a few nice cafes and restaurants at Gold creek village, also if you are a tea drinker there is a fantastic tea cafe called Adore Tea, they serve about 300 different varieties of tea. Its really nice.
cafe injoy is also quite good and popular at gold creek. Theres a really great restaurant there too but cant think of the name right now! smile

Sammys in the city! ?ts a chinese resturant and so yummy! But make a booking before u go and i.wouldnt recommend.taking.kids well young kids as they dont have high chairs or the space for prams
I second Dobinsons! Great place for pies, cakes and yummy food.
The asian noodle houses (dickson, civic or tuggeranong) are delicious. Their laksa is phenomenal AND the Dickson one has high chairs (little ones love the spring rolls).
Italian & Sons for a special occasion (although it's pricey-ish). Also, Pulp Kitchen in Ainslie is a great restaurant.
On Southside, try Ramas Indian restaurant - its fantastic.
"A bite to eat and drink" at Pearce shops is a great cafe too.

Hmmm... what else....

Griffith Vietnamese (dingy interior - GREAT food, and very cheap)
Iori Japanese restaurant in the civic bus interchange
Zenyai thai restaurant in the city
La Scala italian restaurant

and the Plaka restaurant in Mawson has great takeaway pizzas and lasagna.

Enjoy! Canberra has some really lovely local cafes and restaurants. Half the fun is discovering them all!
