stuggling with loosing baby weight Rss

Hi, I have a 22 month old and since having my daughter I've stuggled with loosing baby weight and I get cravings. Any suggestions? I walk around Hobart and I walk to and from work but nothing seems to work. I dont eat a lot of junk food but I know I'm not loosing weight.
This may sound strange and may not be possible but I started having dinner with DS at 5.30pm instead of waiting until 8 or so. Then my dinner is settled and worked off a bit from house work etc. Also I have dropped my portion sizes - instead of a dinner plate I use a sandwich plate.
not big changes but I've found they've helped a little esp if your walking.

Nah its not strange. I take my daughter to Water babies Club Thursdays and that gives me a little exercise by lifting her up, I love swimming alone in an actual pool but I have seizures. I love walking but not in this weather!
Drink Pepsi Max. It gives you the same caffein hit as a coffee with no cals at all. Plus dulls your appetite. Also get urself 1.25lt bottles of water and make a effort to finish whole one before lunch and another before dinner, it will be a struggle at first and you will go to the loo lots but you will get used to it. I will use the same bottle all week just refilling it from the tap, you can buy 6 packs of em at the suermarkets for less than $5. Go get em Tiger!
I have the same problem! Although I would struggle to call it "baby weight" ... I barely put on any weight while I was pregnant, but then gained a lot of weight after I had my DD due to becoming a lot more sedentary.

However, I am determined to do something about it NOW.

I love to walk, but I can't get DD to come for a walk out on the street - she hates it! I try to walk around the supermarket or the mall as quick as possible because she'll tolerate that!

I have just bought a second-hand crosstrainer for $80. I've only used a couple of times but I am determined to keep it up! You could have a look on eBay for something similar. The only problem is finding somewhere to keep it, as they're not small! I have it in the spare bedroom (where it takes up all available floor space).

Also what works for me usually when trying to lose weight is:
- Cut out all alcohol
- Cut out as much dairy as possible - a drop of milk in your tea is too small an amount to make a difference, but get rid of as much as possible
- Cut down on fruit - many people when dieting think that they should increase their fruit intake but they're wrong! Yes it has health benefits, but it also contains a lot of sugar. You need to have five portions of fruit or vegetables a day, but there's no reason why they can't all be vegetables
@ Blisful. Thanks for the reply! I have a water bottle from Big W and its got a filter in it, it takes ages to drink from it as I love water. I removed the filter and now the water comes too fast, but I admit I buy water bottles when out and I just pile them under Mariettes pram. Caffeine I love I have about 10 cups of coffee each day and I love diet vanilla coke
@ Izzys_Mum - thanks for the reply. I put about 5 kgs on while pregnant, like you, after having my baby I also gained weight.

I find my husband is less loving (as in holding my hand in public), he changed moreso after I had Mariette and he just stresses me out (thank god I have a job to hide at). He always says he'll go on a diet with me to help me but he always breaks that promise.

My husband bought our daughter a new stroller today so that I can walk around the block with her. My mum also has goes at me.

I dont drink alcohol. I eat fruit but at the moments its like its got no taste and just expensive although I stocked up on punnets of strawberries as they only $3 at Coles, I'm waiting for the price to go up. I also eat a lot of sushi. I cant eat vegetables everyday but salads I could. But I do love baked veggies whether thats a good or bad thing, but yummo
Have you been to the doctor to be checked in case there is a medical reason for your inability to lose the weight?

I have been having the same problem, and have since discovered that I have a thyroid problem...
@ CrimsonButterfly. I have epilepsy, the doctor just said that its baby weight I'm in the process of changing my family doctor hes an arse and not caring. I lost a lot of weight back in 2004 by walking and I worked in a nursing home so I was constantly on my feet then come 2007 when I resigned thats where my weight went back on, then I had my daughter and I put an extra 5kgs on then since 2009 I havent lost any weight sad
