Things to do in TAS Rss

Hi guys,

We are going on holiday to TAS in Feb next year. I can't wait. A holiday will be so great. DP booked our plane tickets on Thursday. It will be me, DP, DS(11 months) and 2 of DP's friends (both guys).

We don't know where abouts we will be staying yet. DP and his friends are deciding that now.... Well they are meant to be lol

Has anyone got any tips on what to see/do?

We will be there for one week.

Thanks guys smile
Where are you flying in to? What sorts of things do you lke to do? There is heaps to do! Port arthur is one of my favourite places definitely worth a look. Boat harbor is a nice place if you like the beach and a day of relaxation. The nut in Stanley. Hollybank tree top adventures in the north is good. Nice relaxing stroll along the seaport in launceston. There's also the city park in launceston ( nice family friendly park and you can see the monkeys) Zoodoo in Richmond is great fun. There's a few ideas but really depends on what part of the state you will be in. smile

Well depending on where your going in tassie . . . either way remember we have different weather down here at all times of the year! Last year it snowed in december, and then had a 32c day in January blink
So a few ideas for you . . .

Northern end of the state - Beauty point seahorse centre, wings wildlife park, dismal swamp, the nut at stanley, platapus experience at the axemans hall of fame
West coast - Gordon river cruise, world hertiage train, strahan sand dune surfing
Middle bit - Cradle mountain, hollybank treetop adventures, launceston gorge and chairlift, windmill hill at launceston, beaconsfield mine, mole creek wildlife park and caves
East coast - Sea life centre, binalong bay, coles bay, beautiful beaches
Down south - Cadburys factory tour (yum!), port arthur, king soloman caves and thermal springs, the shot tower, the winery trails, richmonds zoo doo, bruney island, alpenrail swiss model village & railway

Hope you have a great holiday!!! smile
