I recently moved to Invercargill with my DP and my 2 and a half year old son. Just wondering if anyone knows of any playgroups/coffee groups to meet some young mums here, we don't know anyone here so we're getting more and more bored as the days go past.

DF & I have just moved back to Invercargill & are expecting a wee girl in November.

To meet other parents down here I'd recommend going to a playcentre/play group, or a group music/bub and mum yoga lesson thing etc, even contact parents centre or plunket down here and see if they could recommend a coffee group or something. Everyone's really friendly down here so it wont be long till you meet new friends lol.

I've got a few young mums from school whom I've been pretty friendly with and we're going to ante-natal classes and I'm looking into pre-natal yoga to meet new friends.

Hi Im exactly the same! We also just moved down here from chch with our almost 2 and a half year old daughter and we dont know anyone down here. Im keen to meet some young mums too! Oh and we're expecting a baby boy in december. Hope to hear back from you smile

Hi guys, i live is Invercargill have all my life, its a great wee town to bring up kids, I have a 5 year old daughter and expecting again in June, Invercargill has some great playgroups and music and movement groups around, plunket even have some great groups to join, i am going to try and find a nice wee group to go to when this bubs is born, we are a friendly bunch of people down here, you just have to ask and we are willing to help in what ever way we can.
