Good Morning Girls,

Sue, Your probably on your way now to hospital (6:30am) so just to let you know that I'm thinking of you and Emilie. Everything is going to be just fine and by Xmas it will all be over and done with and she'll have no more complaints.

Kathy, let me know how you go with the candle. It sounds really interesting. When you find out what you have to do can you post it...I love hearing about all this type of stuff...very interesting and fascinating. Good luck.

Well girls, had a bit of a win yesterday. My work got my Christmas holidays wrong and gave me an extra week. With my reduced hours now it actually works out perfect because its 3.5 weeks off work and only 6 annual leave days. I didn't say anything but signed the form happily. I now finish Xmas eve and go back on the 19th. Be nice to have a good break and spend time with DH and Ethan.

All is going well. Am nearly at the 9 week mark. I go back to my FS in a couple of weeks for a final inspection and then the week after I have my first visit with my obs. Still can't believe it sometimes that i'm actually pregnant. So far we are not finding out the sex however, my best friend who is 13 weeks pregnant saw me last weekend and said straight away "Girl"....how would she know but it put a smile on my face anyway.....

Well better get ready for work. Am loving only working 3 days a week.

Sue and Kathy, let me know if you have a Thursday or Friday free.....

Take care girls,

Julie x

Good mroning girls

Hope everyone is well.

Sue I am thinking of you and Emilie today hope she recovers soon. All the best.

Kathy that sounds really interesting I might have to give it a go do you have to have a pink candle or could you have a blue candle if you want a boy.

Julie wow nine weeks already that is great I hope you are feeling good and no morning sickness yet. That is great news about your holidays.

Well as for me I still have the dreaded flu and it is starti ng to p*ss me of, Dh and I took the girls to adventure world on Sunday for a christmas party and they loved it they went on the kiddies water slides and in the wading pool and later they saw santa and he gave them a present they were over the moon. Well I had better stop rambling now and do some house work as the house is a mess, we put our christmas tree up yesterday and all the lights at the front of the house it like great.

Hi Girls,

Welcome along goosmum....good luck TTC #2.

Any word from Sue. Hope everything went okay.

Girls, I've just had my first mango for the season. What started off with a knife, a plate and a mango has ended in a mango, fingers and a very sticky keyboard. Well worth it! However, typing on a PC whilst eating a mango is not a really good move.

Just a short one from me tonight. The boys will be home soon so I'll get cleaned up and get some dinner started.

Enjoy your night...

Welcome to our thread goosmum .. good luck with TTC #2 !!!

Wow your house sounds fantastic Kylie. We have put up our tree and some decorations inside but nothing outside. Last year Jack decorated one tree with tinsel & balls which looked quite cool. I need to buy some more.

Not a big fan of mango Julie. I much prefer watermelon :o)

Thinking of you Emilie & Sue. I bet Emilie is getting spoilt rotten :o) x x

Man is it muggy tonight !!!!!

Hi Girls,

Well its the middle of the week and the last day of the work week for me....come on 4:30pm !

Good luck Kathy with the school. Hope all goes well. When will you know if he has been accepted?

Am now counting down the days until holidays....3 weeks to go but only 8 working days. We have decided to have a HUGE clean up over the xmas break and are considering putting the house on the market. We won't move far but are just ready for an upgrade...would love to have a pool for Ethan too but this block is too small for a pool. We'll get the house valued over Xmas and will start looking now for something new. Very exciting !

What's everyone up to today? You got much on Kathy?

Anyway best say goodbye for now...finish getting ready for work. Will drop by later or first thing tomorrow...

Enjoy your day

Julie xoxo

Thank you Julie. I am guessing they would have to decide almost straight away because they only have 1 week left of school before the holidays start. The only thing that will go against Jack will be his previous bad behaviour history. Have faith Kathy have faith !!

I am going to the airport today to have lunch with a Huggies friend. Sounds strange hey, LOL. She is flying from Cairns to Gladstone, stopping in Brisbane for 3 hours. Thought we would use this opportunity to meet each other.

How exciting buying a new home. I would love to buy a house. Maybe the prices will go down like the petrol is and we can grab ourselves a bargain, Yeah Right !!

Still considering not getting my Implanon removed. Too much is happening at the moment with Jack. DH and I are getting along a lot better now. I think our baby plans should be put on hold for atleast 3-6 months. Just until we know where Jack is heading next year.

Good morning everyone!

I am getting excited because I have a week and a half of work left for this year! And then I have a break of six weeks or so. It will be so nice to have some time to myself, and spend some time at home without having to be somewhere. Maybe being more relaxed will be better for conceiving too. Getting closer to ovulation time, so starting to prepare myself.

I have been wondering how Emilie is. Sue, I trust she is well, and looking like her usual self again. I hope it wasn't too traumatic for you all.

Kathy, all the best for Jack. I am sorry about you feeling the need to slow down the process a little, but it sounds wise. The person you need to be looking after the most in this whole situation is yourself!

Welcome Goosmum. This is a very warm and friendly forum. I am appreciating it very much. All the best for baby #2. Hoping you have a BFP in no time.

I best go do some work. Thinking of you all. Have a great day everyone!

Hi Everyone...

I have been popping my head in and out of this forum for a while and just thought i would share some info about me... I am 36, DH 42 and DS will be 3 in March, i had a m/c in August @ 10 wks and am now trying again for another baby.

I got pregnant on our first month of ttc for my DS and the angel baby and am getting quite frustrated that this one is taking so long (not long compared to some but long for me)

Sending LOTS of baby dust to everyone (and bathing in it at night for myself)

Good morning ladies.

I haven't had a chance to read through the posts yet, but I just wanted to let you all know that Emilie is doing very well. We got home yesterday lunchtime and from there she has just improved heaps. She ate her dinner last night and I only got woken up twice during the night. She is so brave, braver than me anyway. I had to go in when they knocked her out, they put a mask over her mouth and nose and she drifted off and as soon as she was asleep I burst into tears and couldn't stop. I blamed the pregnancy and told the nurses I was very emotional at the moment, he he!!

But I am so pleased that the surgery is over and she is going to be a much happier girl now.

I will post again later when I have read through everyones posts.

Have a great morning.

Sue. X

Hi Girls,

Mum21B, hang in there. Its just around the corner.

Kathy, how was your lunch? Did you take the boys to see the planes? They would have enjoyed it. I took Ethan out there about 12 months ago to pick up a friend from NZ...he watched the planes for ages.
Any word from the school yet. Let me know what they say. Also about the implanon. Does it take a while to get out of your system? If you had it out anyway is there a chance nothing could happen for a few months anyway? But then again it could happen.....yeah, its a tuff one hey. Good luck with the decision...you'll know the right decision when the time comes.

As for me, I found out yesterday that the position I've been on contract in is being advertised in January. They have told me I can apply if I wish but preference is being given to staff members returning to work. How shi*ty is that. I'm so p'd off at the moment. The same thing happened to me last year and its happening again. NOT HAPPY JAN. Looks like I've got a 50/50 chance of not having a job and I'm not going to be very employable soon. Will let you know what happens.

Other than that all is good this end. Have reached 9 weeks so its only a few weeks to go now. We have decided to tell everyone on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Looking forward to it.

Anyone heard from Sue?

Well its cuppa time. I'll drop by later and see if anything exciting is happening.

Take care,

Julie

Hi all,

julie that sucks about your job. What disgusting people!! Not the type of thing you need to be worrying about at this time of the year or as you newly pregnant.

hope something positive works out for you.

Hope everyone having a good week.

I start IVF again around December 16 when AF arrives. hate AF but can't wait for it to arrive this month obviously. Hopefully second time round will be more positive.

Fantastic news about Emilie Sue. It is all over and done with now and each day she will feel better. I can imagine what you were like, haha, I get really emotional too when I am pregnant. I was having a meeting once with the school principal when I burst into tears, hehe. I think I was pregnant with Lane. Good girl Emilie x x

We had a good time yesterday Julie except the kids were running amok a little. We were there for 2 hours so it was a very long time to expect them to sit still. They were running through the airport but they weren't running out of sight if you know what I mean. After a while I got fed up of chasing Lane and put him in the pram. He was really tired so he chucked a bit of a wobbley, hehe. It was great to catch up with my friend. We took some pics of the kids.

I dropped off Jacks application yesterday and when I left I was feeling a little down thinking he had no chance. When I got home from the airport I had a message on the answering machine asking me to go back in because they forgot to get me to sign the release form. They need that so they have permission to contact Jacks current school. Now I don't want to get my hopes up but I thought, if he had absolutely no chance of getting back in, why have they bothered to contact me in the first place, you know what I mean? On the other hand they are probably obliged to follow it up regardless of the result. Who knows. I am going in there this morning to sign the release form.

Wish me luck !!!

I still haven't decided what to do about the Implanon. I change my mind all the time, haha. Maybe I could get it removed and instead of full on TTC just let life run its course, if you know what I mean? I have heard different stories from different women regarding TTC after the removal of the rod. Some women fall almost immediately, some women take a lot longer. I think it depends on the individual.

Have a great day ladies. I am going Christmas shopping :o)

Hey Maria, how was that show you went and saw? What happened?

Hi Girls,

Sue it looks like we posted at the same time this morning so I missed your update on Emilie. I'm glad everything has turned out well and I know how you feel about the 'crying'. I have been a bit that way myself lately.

Girls this weather today is absolutely ridiculous. I like summer but absolutely hate the humidity...all i want to do is sleep. I've put Ethan in my room for a lay down with the aircon as he was rubbing his eyes and getting tired. I think its cooled him down a bit as it sounds like he's running a muck a bit.

Well best go check that the room is still in tact.

Will drop by later....

Hello ladies, it feels like I haven't been on for AGES! We had a nice time in Perth, got all the Xmas shopping done thank god. It was busy enough when we were there and it was only 1 Dec, it will be really bad come closer to Xmas! Jacob and DH both got sick whilst we were up there, Jacob just had high temps and a bit out of sorts, but DH had a tummy bug. Not much fun driving 3 hours home with sick baby and husband in the back!

Sue, I'm glad to hear all went well for Emilie. It must have been really tough for you, I reckon you sound like you held up really well! As the others have said, it's good to have her on the road to recovery and right for Xmas.

Kathy, you sound like you have a lot going on at the moment. It must be hard work for you managing 3 kids with one going through a difficult stage. And thinking about TTC! No wonder you're a bit freaked! Anyway, good on you for establishing a routine, it will only help you and DH. The best part of my day is when I put Jacob to bed at 7pm (in the nicest possible way of course!). I hope you get some good news with Jack's school soon and hopefully they can help him too.

Franci, thanks for your post. It's great to hear from ladies in my situation who have had trouble conceiving and managed to do it!

Meg, how are you going? Sounds like you're about a week behind me in your cycle. Let's hope we get some good news around Xmas time.

Karyanne, great to hear you're doing another round of IVF. Good luck, and fingers crossed for you. As you know, we may be doing IVF down the track, so I'm keen to hear all your stories!

Oh, and it was me with the candle! A psychic told my aunt that I needed to burn a light blue candle next to a pic of a uterus and ask the universe to turn my uterus because it was out of alignment. I don't think the colour was for a boy, but I reckon that if you burn a blue or pink candle and ask the universe for what you want, then it definitely can't hurt. Oh, and one tip, my aunt tells me you must always remember to say please and thank you! Really!

Julie, that sounds really cr@ppy about your job. I know it's annoying, but try not to stress to much. It will all work out in the end, and something better will come along for you. You must really be looking forward to Xmas eve and day, how exciting for you and your family.

Kylie, I hope you're feeling better. Flu's are bad enough at any time, but even worse when summer's coming and the weather's getting warmer.

Welcome goosmum and mum21b, great to see you in our thread. Good luck ttc. About me, I'm Jen, 37 married to Pete with DS, Jacob who is 2. He was conceived naturally and very easily! Currently ttc for 11 months and just waiting for my first appointment with gyno to investigate other means of conceiving.

I've been thinking a bit lately about ttc. I've been really good and positive the last few months, but the last week or so it's been getting to me. I've had this picture in my head all year of me at Xmas with a big, fat, beautifully pregnant belly. As the year's gone on, that belly has progressively got smaller and smaller, but I still thought I'd be preggers by Xmas, even if just a few weeks! And it's nearly here and I'm not pregnant. So it's a bit hard this month ... Anyway, I'm hoping I'll get to see the doc soon and we can start work on whatever the next stage of ttc will be.

Have a great day everyone. It's cloudy here, we still haven't had any really hot weather so let's hope it arrives soon! Jen xx

Hey Jen,

That is quite interesting about the candle. I wonder if these things really can happen...I suppose they can't hurt hey. I am a bit of a sceptic (Mmm that spelling doesn't look too good) but am always interested by stories such as card reading, John Edwards.....

Hang in there about TTC. I know how you feel though. I thought by last Christmas I would have been sharing some good news....I just had to wait patiently I suppose.

What is everyone up to tonight? DH is working late tonight so its going to be a quiet one here. I might get my housework done tonight and then have a nice day out tomorrow. I really need to finish off my xmas shopping but finding it hard this year to get motivated. I suppose taking a 3 year old xmas shopping isn't the greatest motivation.

Well enjoy your night girls...will drop by tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining in. I am not quite late 30's but this is the closest thread I could find to chat to ladies who are ttc right now and have been for a while.

I'm Karen and I'm 31 and have 4 kids and I'm currently ttc no#5. we have been ttc since DS was born and he is 14 months now. It is starting to get very frustrating when af arrives every month. I really wanted a smaller age gap but it is getting bigger by the months.

It will be no#2 for DP as my first 3 are from my ex husband.

I'm currently on CD9 and waiting to ov now and I hope I get good news by xmas!!!!
