Urgh I'm sick all day everyday too. I've been off work most days in the last month because its only better when I lay down. I used to get really bad reflux (I have GORD)before I was pregnant but now I can't take anything for reflux so its that and nausea constantly. Ginger doesn't really help that much and its starting to taste like medicine to me so I've gone off it (I used to LOOOOVE Ginger Beer). Maxolon isn't doing anything. I have travel accupressure bracelets but they don't really do that much.
All day sickness

i am in the same boat as all of you. currently 9 weeks and the MS has slightly eased. I got a sore hand from the sea bands so stopped wearing them. I have found that small amounts of apple really help settle the tummy.

Oh you poor thing. I'm still only 4 weeks so I am nervously waiting to feel it.....
I have read a lot of places that a B6 supplement is meant to help heaps with the nausea. Go to a health food shop and they should have a good strenghth one.
Good luck xxx

Im 13weeks and iv still got crazy morning sickness well all day sickness. I never actually vomit but the nausea is awfull. Im finding it hard to eat anything, the smell of food cooking makes me gag. Iv gone off all the foods I used to love and am currently living on bread and cheese. On the plus side iv lost 4kgs but I feel horrible. I didnt have any morning sickness with my first child which was a boy so prehaps this baby is going to be a girl? I find my nausea worse at night usually at around bed time then I cant get to sleep so I lie awake doing the deep pregnancy breathing whilst i hover over a bucket expecting this time will be the one when I actually vomit. Ahhh good times im kinda not wanting anymore kids after this one lol
My sympathies to you, but I am now 29 weeks and while my morning sickness did the traditional waning off at around 18 weeks, it has come back again fiercely. I have a boy and a girl already, and am pregnant with another boy, so I don't know If the sickness dictates what sex your baby will be. I do know that you are less likely to miscarry if you feel sick during pregnancy, so that's the only plus side I can find. Hoping this helps you feel a bit better. maybe try eating a banana, or a dry biscuit b4 bed. Anything you can keep down!

Hopefully it eases up for you soon.
I'm still sick pretty much every day.. it's a rare day indeed that I don't have my morning heave. I was like this with DD and DS - right up til the moment they injected me with Maxalon in the delivery room :S
Plus side was I lost roughly 20kgs with both of them. Down side was I put it all on again! lol
I've been eating quite averagely this pregnancy so I wonder if I will have lost any weight.. hope so! lol
I found that sipping on Berocca helped me a little. You can get these things called Sea Bands from chemists - they press on pressure points in your wrist which can help with motion or morning sickness.
You could also try acupuncture.
Could also get some ginger and cut about 5 thin slices and add them to boiling water and sip that slowly too.
Other than that - eat whatever you think you can stomach - even if it's junk, it's still something in your stomach which can help you feel better.

Does Maxalon come in tablet form, or is it only available as an injection? I have 8 weeks(?) to go and am over feeling sick at all times of the day. Dont fancy throwing up right until the minute I give birth. Am having a desperate day and need some relief!!! Ginger is no good, just the smell makes me sick. Have not tried the accupressure bands, but have sat there with my fingers over my wrists applying pressure, but that doesn't seem to work either. Peppermint lollies helped me with DD and at the start of this pregnancy, but it's not working now. Am worried because have actually lost a couple of kilo's in the last few days, and not being able to keep anything down, I wonder if bub is getting enough. Funnily, the only thing I can keep down is the supplements I take.

Ondansetron is a great help. The other thing that I found out during my second pregnancy was that a high alkaline / low protein diet was a great help (as i had been vomiting about 5 times a day). So leafy salad greens, cucumber, tomato, sprouts etc.

It's horrible. I had sickness all day everyday. Bed ridden and unable to eat I got worried as I am only roughly 5 weeks along and I was worried about my baby getting the nutrients. My body was so tired I even found it difficult to stand in the shower for a short period of time. Yet last night was a miracle as I managed to keep down dinner and i even had breakfast this morning!
It's important to keep your tummy full because, like everybody else, I also find that if I let my tummy begin to feel empty I start to feel sick and begin to feel put off food. Ginger ale, water, apples and vegemite on toast has been super helpful at keeping things down. Eat slowly as well, that way your tummy isn't suddenly upset.
Hopefully that might help anybody else, haha can't wait till the 'morning' sickness is gone!

just be careful, although the doctor prescribed it (I was prescribed it too as is the only 'safe' anti-nausea medication) the medicines have been known to cause birth defects. If you can tough it out then I suggest you do.

I was sick for the whole pregnancy and my obstetrician prescribed Ondansetron (Zofran). It was amazing. I tried Maxalon but it didn't do anything for me. I took one Odansetron tablet every night before bed and it kept me from vomiting the next day. It's expensive but totally worth it.

This is my 3rd pregnancy.
an i seriously dont remember feeling anything like this with my other pregnancies.
i have all day sickness, an i dont throw up which i think is worse, i have the most disgusting fowl taste in my mouth all day long, the taste only fades when i eat something an them promptly returns when ive finished my mouthful.
i dont know how ppl go through this.
i am finding it very hard to function.

sounds exactly like my first pregnancy... and i dont want to scare you but with me it lasted the full 9 months! Oh and it was a boy! lol... but i dont put too much faith in these things being tell tale signs of the sex of the baby as my second pregnancy i only had morning sickness for the first and last trimester and i had twins... also boys! I was told twin pregnancys are supposed to be worse than singleton pregnancys... not in my case! this pregnancy is diffrent again but boy or girl i will be happy

I am 34 weeks and still experiencing all day sickness (since week 4). I vomit 4 or 5 times a day every day and most foods make me feel sick. However I have had cravings for sausages, strawberries and capsicum this time round so eat those alot. They also dont taste too bad again on the way back up.
You can get maxalon tablets from the doctor that do help to ease the nausea (not the actual vomitting), also cold water, ginger nut bikkies, icy poles.
Luckily it will all be over in about 6 weeks but this is definitely last bub for me.

I think I only had 6 weeks or so when I wasn't throwing up all day. Me and Mr toilet were great friends.
I ended up in hospital with a 10kg weight loss at 16weeks, I was put on a drip for a couple of days to get my fluids up and they were injecting 3 types of anti nausia meds as I needed to eat. I ended up on maxalon after I was out of hospital but was still throwing up about twice a day....but this was much better than every 30min!!
I found milk and oranges would work for a bit then stop so I would have to find something else that would work. I can't stand ginger even when not pregnant, I even told everyone at work to stop buying ginger beer as the smell was awful.
It has made me weary of having a 2nd baby, but now I realise that being that sick isn't normal and you can get help for it so next time I will be better prepared.

Poor you! I to had bad all day sickness right up until about 5 months and still am sick if I eat to much now at 32 weeks. I found that sometimes actually being sick can stop the nausea and making sure you do eat little bits so your stomach is never completely empty. Apparently ginger tablets or ginger beer/ale helps with nausea but googling it and seeing what works for you is best. My sense of smell is crazy still and im afraid lately I cant even stand the smell of my partner! Hehe
