Hi there,
I took my little boy to get his 12mth immunizations last week and he has been sick ever since!!! He had a really high fever for the first 4 days and then yesterday developed a really bad rash that slowly spread all over his body. He is very clammy and very uncomfortable. Took him to the hospital (just to be sure) and they checked him over and told us it was all viral and shouldn't last much longer. He has gone from being an ideal eater and sleeper to not wanting to eat and waking up all through the night, completely unsettled and screaming and can only get him back to sleep by being in bed with us (something I have never had to do and tried to steer clear of). I am scared this is going to be a hard habit to break when he finally is feeling better but I really don't know what else to do!! Has anyone else experienced anything like this with immunizations?? Would love to hear about it. Also have been recommended to get him the swine flu vaccine but scared to put his little body through more than he is already dealing with!! Thanks for listening, guess I just needed to vent a little and to find out if this is a common reaction.
Cheers Jess

Hi Jess,
My little boy had his 12month injections a week ago. This is the first time he has had a reaction other than being unsettled. Was only a rash around his neck and top of back but still was a bit unnerving.Hope your fellow has returned to his normal self!

Oh your poor bubba!!! Glad he is back to normal.
My son has had his 12 month needles and 1st swine flu shot with no worries at all. He gets his 2nd swine flu shot next week and am hoping for the same.
However out of all my friends he is only one of 2 that wasn't sick from the 12 months needles... must knock them around a fair bit
