Anyone got any fun activites for an 11 month old. I am sure she is getting bored with me and her same books and toys each day. We go walking, and try to get to the pools once a week, but I need some inspiration!

Theres alot you can do at home as well at this age most babies love sensory play try making finger paint or goop (cornflour, water and food colouring) get your hands dirty too, its so much fun. Depending on the weather there (im in Darwin so it's always hot) playing with water. Even a paint brush in a bucket of water can be fun, pretending to paint everything. make a small sandpit at home, I use thoes large shells that you can also use for water play. Reading books if she is over the ones you have at home go to the library, they may also have childrens groups there. Sing as many songs as you can, because before you know it they will be singing along with you.
Most of all just have fun.

My kids love music and movement. We put on some music and wave scarves around. It's really tactile and great fun. We pretend to be different animals and move like they would - eg: kangaroo - jump around, snake - slither etc. Good at teaching new language too.
I agree that playgroups are great. Also many libraries have storytime which is great weekly outting as they get to change their books regularly and hear someone other then you reading to them.
Playdough is great fun. I use to put my son in his high chair and give it to him when I was cooking tea. He would pretend he was making tea too.

gardening!!! Even a small tomato plant in a pot and a couple of sunflowers to get muddy with and learn about weeding and watering. Also, I find that babies have short attention spans, but also short memories. You can play the funny hat game for a while (put a hat on your head and let her take it off, like peek-a-boo, then put it on her head and take it off etc) and then you could be pulling faces in the mirror and then it's right back to the hats again.

Role play with dolls & teddies is a great idea. A tea set with a picnic rug and some plastic food is great to encourage this. You can use plastic plates and cups from your cupboard & fruit from your bowl if you don't have any of the plastic toy ones. This activity can be done inside or outside. Add water to the teapot/jug if you are outside. You can also use this time to model language skills, eg 'Would you like a cup of tea?' or "What would you like for morning tea, an apple or a pear?" Use your imagination! Its amazing how much you will see your child imitating you, saying things like 'hot' when they pour you a cup of tea! Have fun....

* The soft spot on the top of my head is almost closed.
* My legs look bowed when I stand up; my feet look flat.
* My sitting balance is good.
* I like to use my fingers to pick up small things like toys and food.
* I can stack two or three small boxes, and I like to knock them down.
* If you hold my hands, I can walk. I’m almost ready to take my first steps by myself.
* I point to things I want, even if they are far away.
* Tasting and touching are my favorite ways to explore new things.
* I love being the center of attention—and making you smile.
* When you call my name, I look for you.
* I like to imitate sounds like coughing, laughing, lip smacking and tongue clicking.
* I can pull off hats, shoes and socks but need your help getting them back on again.
* I know about getting dressed and usually cooperate when you put on my clothes.

Not sure where you live but how bout these:
*Playgroup; either free with donation of fruit or a few dollars
*Library Time (most libraries have time for most age groups under 5, include a story, music and craft activity) and are either free or minimal cost
*Gymbaroo; between $10-$20
*Baby music time, includes dance and sensory activities between $5- $20
*Swimming lessons

Otherwise maybe check out Sydney's Child or equivalent in your state as they are filled with ideas about what to do, where and cost

It does get hard trying to come up with new ideas all the time. I found a site that has loads of great activities for babies, it has four pages, aged 0-3 3-6 6-9 and 9-12 months: http://www.babyboat....activities.html over the four pages you will find enough to keep you going that's for sure.

:D I got a large paint brush and a little pail of water, and asked my daughter t help me pain the fence.
When the water changes the colour of the colourbond fence she thought she was really painting it, with the plus, that there was no mess at all!!

1) Make adult friends: Although he still may not want you out of sight, he enjoys making new friends.
2) Roll him a ball and encourage him to roll it back. He'll get better as you practice.
3)Play with flour paint: Spread a thin layer of flour on a clean, smooth surface. Demonstrate how to rub your finger in the floor to make circles, zigzags and slashes.

These all activities are good for 11 month old babies..
