Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to offer a fussy 1 year old for dinner? He likes quite a few things however he is still not all that fussed on chunkier foods and I'm not sure how to encourage this.
I am so unimaginative when it comes to creating healthy fun meals for him to eat and would really like some help.
Any ideas on a big dish I could prepare and then freeze??

hey my daughter loves her food and some of the dishes she most enjoys (that i can make heaps of an freeze) are Tuna Mornay, Shepards Pie, Chicken or Beef Chow Mein, Lasagne, Spag Bol

some of these aren't too chunky depends what vegies u put in. i always put in grated carrot, zucchini and squash then it depends what i have in the fridge u can cut up broccoli and cauliflower really small and just keep offereing it so they can get used to chunkier foods.

good luck

All generalizations are false, including this one.

A two-year-old is kind of like having a blender, but you don't have a top for it.

Hi! I have a fussy 2 year old. Won't eat most things but keep dishing up what we are having most nights and he sometimes surprises us and tastes something new. The best thing we have found is to give him a 'tasting plate' (we call it "Stuff on a plate") with a few different items we know he will eat, such as a cheese stick, rice crackers, small pieces of meat etc. Small amounts of each seems to work best. We have also started offering "dessert" if he eats a certain amount. Dessert might be some yoghurt or one of those fruit pouches or something like that.
Sorry not much help with big dish other than I get him to help make hamburgers (rissoles) with tomato sauce, egg, bread and sometimes cheese.
Good luck!
