Michelle Bridges 12WBT. I’ve signed up. How about you?
I have a confession to make. Lately I have been feeling tired, and really just heavy. I know I am a mum to three small kids and I work and I’m busy. But I also know I am a better person in general when I’m fit and healthy. So the chance to sign up for this programme couldn’t have come along at a better time for me. I’d love to be feeling (and looking) great at Christmas time this year.
I honestly didn’t know much about the Michelle Bridges 12WBT programme before now. A few people have said to me they couldn’t imagine doing lots of exercise or sticking to an eating plan. But right now I think that’s probably exactly what I need to do. I think I need someone to boss me round a bit and tell me to lift my game a bit.
So I’ve already signed up and gone into the forums. I haven’t actually done any exercise yet. That part doesn’t start for a bit longer. There are some pre-season tasks to do and the first one was introducing myself in the forum. The second one was watching a video from Michelle and getting me to work through the many, many excuses I am making to not look after myself properly.
I liked what Michelle said on her intro video that “routine equals control.” I have a pretty strict routine for my kids, so I think I’m being a bit of a hypocrite not having one for myself at the moment. I’ve noticed that when I exercise my kids always want to join in with me, or they need something done urgently so I’ll have to figure out ways to let them join me or find a time when they’re asleep! I’m sure there is a solution to that.
In the meantime, the idea of planning my meals and taking some control is exciting. I want the old me back. The one who was excited and enthusiastic and wasn’t really self conscious about my weight. So here goes several kilos and hopefully finding my waistline again. I’ll keep you posted.
Are you signing up?
