(makes 20)
- 400g minced beef
- 1 & 1/2 cups peas
- 1 Tablespoon curry powder
- 1 Tablespoon vegetable stock
- 1 onion
Dough:
- 500g plain flour
- water
- 3 Tablespoons oil
- pinch of salt
Instructions
Filling Method:
Fry onion til soft and translucent add mince and fry until cooked through and browning. Add vegetable stock, curry powder and peas, and cook on a low for 20-30mins until peas have cooked through and changed in colour (no longer bright green). Set aside in fridge to cool.
Dough Method:
mix all ingredients together, adding water slowly to combine to a dough like consistency. Tip: Add more flour and water as needed.
Putting it all together:
Roll out circle and using a curry puff maker just lay dough over the top and add filling and press together.
If you do not have a curry puff maker, roll out the dough 5mm thick into big or small circles as you like (though the smaller the better for the kids).
Fill and fold in half and press around the open edges with a fork to close.
Fry in deep fryer, or you can cook in the oven on 180 degrees for 30 mins, or until golden.
