Could I have a back problem that occurred during labour?

hi alex,i had my daughter nearly nineteen months ago and during childbirth i had extremely severe back pain. since her birth i`ve had the contraceptive needle every 3 months which has stopped my periods all together, recently i have let the needle lapse and have gotten my period back, which i got the same severe lower back pain again. the two questions i have is how long does it usually take to become pregnant after going off the needle contraceptive and could i have a back problem that occurred during labour? thanks

Alex ...
Answer: Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry. It can take several months to fall pregnant after stopping this type of contraception as it takes a while to get out of your system. It may be worth seeing a physiotherapist for your back problems as there may be something that they can do for you. The back pain may occur with another pregnancy but if the baby is in a different position it may not.
Best wishes,
Alex
