What is this a sharp sudden pain in my groin area?

Hi Alex,
I`m 12 weeks pregnant and yesterday stared to feel a sharp pain in my groin area (pelvic floor area underneath) on one side. It`s quite sudden and sharp, but then subsides after a few minutes. Is this normal?

This is very normal and to be expected. It is from the ligaments that support your uterus stretching.
