hi alex, im currently 10w and 4 days pregnant with my 3rd..at my 6w u/s i was told i had a small subchorionic heamorage (sry sbout the spelling) measuring 2 x 0.6cm..i had another u.s done yesterday and the clot was stil there but the tech lady refused to measure it saying it wil fix itself and measurments are not needed..the baby had a strong heart beat and was moving around..from wat i could see the clot was above the baby on the sac..im not sure where the placenta is located so not sure if it was on the placenta or not..anywayz does the position of the clot make a difference to the baby or the pregnancy...i havent had any bleeding watso eva but im stil worried, please, any advice would b appreciated..thank you
This is a very common cause of bleeding in early pregnancy. There is no placenta until the baby is 12 weeks. If the clot is unchanged then this is great and the baby is coping fine. The clot probably will be absorbed in the next few weeks as the baby grows and placenta starts to function.
