I`m 23 years old and 21 weeks pregnant. I`m still feeling really tired and headachy. I`ve had all the routine blood tests which seem to come back normal so I`m not low in iron. I have stopped working about 3 weeks ago to move to the country to be with my partner full time and start getting things organised for the babys arrival. I have been told that the second trimester is meant to bring back all your energy but I feel as though I could sleep all day. I try to make myself get up at a reasonable hour and get moving. I also try to do light exercise (walking around the farm or in the local pool) at least 3 times a week and eat fairly well. Is there something I can do or take to increase my energey levels?
Pregnancy can affect everyone differently. Some do feel much better in the second trimester as morning sickness eases. Your hormone levels may still be a bit elevated that could be causing the headaches. Healthy diet and regular exercise will help. Hopefully things will start to improve soon.
Best wishes,
Alex
