The Huggies Forum Post Competition is hosted on the Huggies forum where two winning entries are selected as the most interesting or helpful posts for the month.
Terms and Conditions
Huggies Best Forum Post Promotion
1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into the Huggies® Best Forum Post Promotion (Promotion) is deemed to be an acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
2. Promotion commences at 00:00:01 AEDT on 01 February 2011. Entries close at 23:59:59 AEDT on 31 January 2012.
3. Entry is only open to Australian and New Zealand residents who are current members of Huggies Baby Club or Huggies Mum To Be Club.
4. Persons under the age of 13, and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, or agencies, suppliers or companies associated with this Promotion, are ineligible to enter.
5. For a chance to win, entrants must:
- Go to Huggies’ Forum, sign in as a member and:;
- Create a new forum post that is entirely original content;
- Consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with paragraph 20 of these Conditions of Entry (Entry).
6. This is a monthly competition and only two entries will be selected each month. There are two competition categories for this monthly Promotion:
1. Most interesting/helpful new post by a new user
2. Most interesting/helpful new post by an existing member
7. Entrants consent to receiving future emails and marketing communications from the Promoter when entering the Promotion.
8. Entrants may enter the Promotion on more than one occasion throughout the month, but all entries must be in the form of a new Huggies Forum post and must satisfy the criterion specified in Terms and Conditions (5 above).
9. All valid forum posts received prior to the close of the promotion will be individually judged by promotion judge(s) appointed by the Promoter. Each month, we will select a winner for the ‘Most interesting/helpful post by a new user’ and ‘Most interesting/helpful post by an existing member’. The winners will each receive a copy of Australia’s best selling baby care book – Baby Love by Robin Barker. Baby Love by Robin Barker is valued at $38.95. Total prize pool/value is up to a maximum of $934.80.
10. Valid entries received prior to the close of the promotion will be individually judged by promotion judge(s) appointed by the Promoter to be held at Kimberly-Clark Australia, 52 Alfred St Milsons Point 2061 at 10.00.00 AEDT on:
- Draw 1 new posts received during February 2011 Judged on Thursday 3rd March 2011
- Draw 2 new posts received during March 2011 Judged on Thursday 7th April
- Draw 3 new posts received during April 2011 Judged on Thursday 5th May
- Draw 4 new posts received during May 2011 Judged on Thursday 2nd June
- Draw 5 new posts received during June 2011 Judged on Thursday 1st July
- Draw 6 new posts received during July 2011 Judged on Thursday 4th August
- Draw 7 new posts received during August 2011 Judged on Thursday 1st September
- Draw 8 new posts received during September 2011 Judged on Thursday 6th October
- Draw 9 new posts received during October 2011 Judged on Thursday 3rd November
- Draw 10 new posts received during November 2011 Judged on Thursday 1st December
- Draw 11 new posts received during December 2011 Judged on Thursday 5th January
- Draw 12 new posts received during January 2012 Judged on Thursday 2nd February
11. All entries will be judged having regard to the overall quality of the forum post, including literary composition, creative merit and originality. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. By entering the Promotion, you authorise the reproduction of your forum post (without attribution) on the Huggies Website and the editing of the answer prior to publication without consultation.
12. The value of the prize is accurate at the date of commencement of the Promotion and based upon the recommended retail price at the commencement of the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize after that date. The prize cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. The Promoter retains the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
13. The winners will be advised via email and winners’ names will be published on www.huggies.com.au and www.huggies.co.nz .
14. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into, including in the event of a dispute. The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to validate and check the authenticity of entries and to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with the conditions of entry.
The Promoter and its associated agencies or companies accept no responsibility for lost, late, stolen, damaged or misdirected entries.
16. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its discretion to modify the terms of the Promotion including the prizes and these Conditions of Entry.
17. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting any prize is the responsibility of the winner.
18. The Promoter has no control over internet or mobile telephone communications networks or lines, bugs, viruses and server faults or problems and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, for whatever reason.
19. The Promoter will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained as a result of receiving, taking or using any prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
20. All claims and entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter requires your personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. If you do not provide the mandatory personal information requested then you will not be able to take part in the Promotion. The Promoter may use personal information for future marketing purposes. Entrants will not be entered into the Promotion if they do not consent to receive future marketing communications from the Promoter. The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Q. What is a forum ‘post’?
A. A post is a message which has been submitted to a topic on a forum. The Huggies forum it is a public forum so the messages you post can be read by other members and the general public.
Q. How do I post a new message on the forum?
A. To post a new message you first need to be logged in. Select the forum you’d like your new message to appear under and post your message by clicking on the ‘Start New Topic’ button which appears at the top of each forum page. You can then proceed to type your message and post it to the forum. There is also a ‘Preview’ option which you can use to view your post prior to submitting it. For more information see Forum FAQs.
Q. How do I reply to a post in the public forum?
A. To contribute to an existing discussion, select the thread that you wish to reply to and click on the “reply to post” button. You will then see a text box where you can type in your message. Again you can use the ‘Preview’ option here.
Q. How many times can I enter?
A. You can submit as many posts as you like – provided each post is original.
Q. What sorts of posts are the judges looking for?
A. We are looking for a wide range of subjects that contribute to the discussion of pregnancy and parenting issues, and to the creation of the Huggies Forum as a supportive and helpful environment.
Q. How are the winners selected?
A. All valid forum posts for each month will be individually judged by promotion judge(s). The decision of the promotion judge(s) is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding their decision.
