As part of a family of avid readers, books have always been highly prized possessions at my house. My younger cousins have always received books from us for Christmas, and while they may not have appreciated them at the time (another book? boring!) some have become their bedtime favourites, read and re-read for years. I was also fortunate enough to have several aunts and uncles who followed this same philosophy – ushering me into the wonderful world of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland and many other childhood favourites.
