When we were pregnant we chose not to find out the sex of our baby so we wanted to create a room fit for both genders.

I wanted a room that was colourful and bold and full of interesting things for our baby to discover. We decided to paint the room lemon and have a country theme to match the rest of our home. Farm animals were chosen because they are a great learning tool as baby develops – you can point to the animals, say what they are and make the noise (cow, moo).

When our baby arrived, we were blessed with a little girl, Tahlia. From the day we brought her home she has loved her room and smiles at the animals as you point them out to her.

We purchased removable stickers online so when the time comes they can be removed. Added gingham cutains and a matching side table with cane baskets.

Tahlia will be moved into another room when she is too old for her cot – her new room will be decorated with butterflies! And by then we hope that baby #2 is here to enjoy the farm animals!
