before i realised just how popular jungle themes are I wanted to do it for my nursery. I love bright colour but i didnt want it to be too over the top either as I wanted the baby to be able to sleep and relax in there as well as play. I also didnt want to paint on the walls so I designed and painted the animals on the canvas as eventually when the child is old enough i could tailor make a room for him/her. Whilst i was painting my canvas’ which was most therapeutic while pregnant, a friend said i could buy similar ones online and showed me (i was very disappointed as i thought i had an original idea). My husband loves that I design our kids rooms as he said it is done with love and that cant be bought. I happen to agree as when I design and paint I am not only thinking about what is fun, but what is practical and picture myself with our baby doing everyday things and how the room enhances learning whilst being fun. My daughter loved her room and always woke up happy and talking and as she grew she loved doing the animal noises and smiling back at the floating catepilar when having a nappy change. The sun light is on a dmmer switch which gives a lovely warm feeling when on low for night feeds
