i have a 9mth old baby boy, james, who is teething. he still demands up to 3-4 feeds a night. sometimes he takes up to around 30 mins to re-settle in his bed after each feed. i think hes comfort feeding, but im really not sure. is this normal? ive tried giving him just water but he still gives demands feeds off me. what can i do?

Answer: Hi Julie,
From about 6 months baby should be able to sleep through the night without an overnight feed. I would say he is comfort feeding and this is his sleep association. To change this you would need to stop offering the feed, you might like to try our settling techniques to resettle him when he wakes.
