My 4 month old baby girl goes to sleep at 7.30 - 8.00 pm & sleeps until about 12.30 - 1.30 am. I feed her & she has about 120ml & goes straight back to sleep but only goes 2 hrs, last night she woke at 1.30, 3.30 & 5.30am, the 5.30 one, she was wide awake & eventually we got up.
She used to only wake a couple of times in the night & I can`t understand how she can go 6 or 7 hours when I first put her down but then only go 2 hours in the night. I`m not expecting her to sleep through but wondered if you had any tips or advice on what I could do different.
Yes you would expect to offering an overnight feed but not 2 hourly. Only feed if due and always make sure she is settled awake into her cot not falling asleep with a feed or she will wake for comfort feeds. Try our settling techniques to resettle if not due for a feed.
