Is there anything I can do to try to get her to sleep longer?

Hi, My little girl is now nearly 6mths old. She only likes to sleep during the day for approx 30 - 45mins. If I am lucky she will have 3 sleeps during the day, today it was only 2. During the night she is still waking up for feeds & they have been about every 4-5hrs. I have over the last couple of wks introduced farex with some fruit mixed in for her breakfast and she still has her bottle appox every 4hrs. It is very rare for her to sleep over an hour during the day & I don`t rock her to sleep. Is there anything I can do to try to get her to sleep longer?
Thanks
Michelle :)

Answer: Hi Michelle, Make sure she is settled awake into the cot and you may want to try our It`s Time To Sleep settling program to settle and for resettling if waking under one hour, if you prefer a gentler way you could still use the newborn to 6 months techniques for now and if you want you can step up in a few weeks. Try to incorporate a feed/play/sleep routine as well so you can catch tired signs. Cheers, Maree
