Should I try to wean him off wrapping because he still relies on it so heavily

Hi Maree
My little boy is 15 weeks old and has been waking every 2 hours through the night for the past few weeks. He goes to bed at 7pm, i dreamfeed him at 10.30pm and he was previously waking anytime from 3-5am for a feed and then sleeping til around 7am. He seemed to have a growth spurt at 13 weeks and fed every two hours for 3 nights and seemed very hungry. Now he wakes up crying and i leave him for 15-20 mins to resettle (as he does self settle and resettle in the day) but this hasn`t been working, sometimes i go in and rewrap him if he is unwrapped or i try to feed him but he isnt interested. Then he falls asleep in my arms and i put him back into bed. This has all started since the weather has become colder. Our house is very cold and his room is around 15 degrees at night, i am worried he is waking because he is cold. Can you please suggest what i should be dressing him in, and what bedding to use on his cot. Also should i try to wean him off wrapping because he still relies on it so heavily and wakes if he becomes unwrapped. Also should i still be feeding him everytime he wakes in the night or is this just reinforcing the problem??
Thankyou Emily

Answer: Hi Emily, Firstly try a sleeping bag they are great and you know baby is warm. You would still expect to be offering one overnight feed but for other wakings I would try to resettle. Try following our It`s Time To Sleep settling program and also introduce a feed/play/sleep routine as I feel you are mistaking tired cries as hunger cries and baby is constantly snacking.
