He wakes up once between 3 - 4am every morning. Is he hungry?

Hi, my nine month old boy generally sleeps very well, with two sleeps during the day and going down at night around eight with one last bottle. He wakes up once between 3 - 4am every morning. Is it that he is hungry or is he getting to old to be settling down with a bottle?

Answer: Hi, Generally from about 6 months on baby should be able to sleep from 7pm to 7am without an overnight feed He may be waking out of habit for this bottle. Do be sure once you have given him the final bottle at 8pm that he settle awake into the cot after it not falling asleep with the bottle or he will look for this same comfort at 3am when he wakes on his light sleep. For more details on settling baby awake go to `Your Baby`s Sleep`. Cheers, Maree
