How do we get our little mover be comfortable sleeping on her tummy?

Our 7 month old daughter used to settle herself to sleep until she got sick - now she likes to be rocked to sleep. We are trying to help her settle herself again - but she is very active and rolls around in her cot when left by herself. She also rolls onto her stomach to sleep, but then appears distressed about it. How do we get our little mover to settle herself to sleep and be comfortable sleeping on her tummy?

Answer: Hi, Often after an illness and we have given extra comfort some unwanted habits turn up. Rolling at this age is quite normal and if she is still struggling a little give her extra tummy time during the day when playing. You can follow our settling program to help her learn to sleep independently again. You can get an overview of our settling program from the Your Baby`s Sleep section of the Huggies site or for more detail, and a visual demonstration, It`s Time To Sleep DVD&BOOK. Cheers, Maree
