  4. hi alex i was just woundering i was told that walking helps to speed up your delivery and help you go in to labor, so how fast should you be walking to help bring on the labor without harming the baby and when is the best time to do it. thanks

Answer: Hi, Any form of regular exercise will help prepare your body for labour and birth. Walking and swimming are really great during pregnancy as you can go as fast or as slow as you feel. This will not harm the baby at all and actually benfits both mother and baby. You really should be exercising throughout pregnancy so that you are relatively fit and just starting to exercise later in pregnancy is a bit of a shock for your system. Best wishes, Alex.
