Play group Rss

Was just wondering how old should bubs be before you can take them to play group. My liitle man is 6 1/2 months and he is such a steaky beak, he just loves watching other kids.
Hi casper

I am starting playgroup with Tayla next week. She is 8 1/2 months now. It is mostly to get me out of the house i must admit, i get really bored!!
Another great thing to take them to is Gymbaroo
I think the function of playgroup is as much for the contact with other mums as it is for the babies to socialise and interact. I would go along now and find out if it is the right group and if you are happy there. It is also ideal for your baby to get used to the environment now, before he goes through the separation anxiety, clingyness stage that some babies go through. It will already be part of his little world by then. Have fun!

we started going to a mothers group when the kids were 6 months then after about 6 weeks we started our own play group. at 6-8 months is a good age 4 both of you to make friends as they kids grow older the activities grow with them. i have made a lot of good friends amongthe mums.

mum of 3 boys aged 11, 13 and 14

Hi everyone.

Thanks for your replies. We went to a playgroup yesterday and he LOVED it. There were some other babies, abit older but he just loved watching and there were different toys to play with.

It was great to chat to other mums.

My little man was asleep within 2 mins of being in the car.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I think having a network of other Mums is so valuable, and also a ready-made group of friends for your baby is great. I hope the group continues to be what you need.
