Sterilising Containers for Solids Lock Rss

I am preparing fresh foods for my 6 mth old and instead of cooking up a new batch each time I want to freeze them in small containers. I bought some yesterday and was wondering do they need to be sterilised or can I just wash them normally?

Any advice appreciated!

Hiya,

I never sterilized any food containers. I just gave them a quick wash again, when i went to use them, and a good rinse!

i dont think you need to sterilise but if you really want to i guess milton is the best way to go

I used to freeze my son's food in ice-cube trays, I'd just pour some boiling water into them a few minutes before I put the food in. I don't think it matters that much once they are crawling around and putting everything in their mouths- as long as the containers are thoroughly washed and dried.
