How long did you breastfeed for? Lock Rss

Some women love breastfeeding but others find it challenging. If you found it difficult (or are currently finding it tricky) what issues did you have? Did you seek help? How long did you breastfeed for?
I'm still breastfeeding my 2nd child st 5mth. The first 3mths. I was very determined to try it. It is almost impossible if you are single or have no family to help though!. Initially they are constantly feeding and expect 2hrs sleep for the first 8-12wks. Supply has been an issue with both and iv had to top up with formula with some feeds. Both babies lost 12&13% by day 3. Frankston hospital makes you give them formula as a result and I felt this was a major reason for the issues. There is help out there though, use it. Goodluck
I breastfeed for one year.
LO started with a tongue-tie for the first month, by the end of that time i was expressing to feed her from a bottle. The next 4 months was a struggle of trying to get her used to the breast and feeding properly. Now at 8 months we are very comfortable on the breastfeeding and plan to continue as long as LO wants.
I breastfeed for 2 years of each a boy and a girl and never face any problem with breastfeeding

Hi, everybody
My aunt breastfed her daughter for the first 7 months only. After that start to feed her daughter with healthy and safe food. Gradually my aunt started to decrease the amount of breast feeding. By the end of the first year, she became breastfed only during naps and before going to bed. The girl started to rely on having a simple meal or drinking juice. I encourage you to breastfeed for 6 or 7 months
I breastfeed for seven months and while in the process I am taking a probiotic supplement (Qiara probiotics) because it helped me a lot especially on my breast pain and mastitis. I'm just glad it worked for me because everything is hard and painful in the beginning. I consider Qiara as the best probiotic supplement for me.
It is recommended to feed baby girl one and half year and baby boy 2 years.
Any nutrition for 6 months old baby??
