Anti-D Injections Lock Rss

Hi Alex,

I have rheusus negative blood and was woindering when I should my first anti-d injection. I am 7weeks at the moment and my Ob appointment is not until the 4 July.

Any info would be great.

Hi Trudie,

Thank you for your enquiry. The National Health and Medical Research Council have provided guidelines for Rhesus negative women during pregnancy. They recommend that unless you have any bleeding related problems during early pregnancy or extra tests, such as chorionic villi sampling (CVS), you don’t need Anti D until 28 weeks and then again at 34 weeks and finally after the birth of your baby.
