Try seeing it from the fathers point as well please ladies.
My ex has to pay child support for his 7 y/o little girl. Her mother gets paid cash in hand for her job so not only does she earn money through a job she is also going through centerlink saying she is unemployed and getting payments from them, my DP's ex's parents built her a house so she has no rent/mortgage to speak of, not only that she moved across the country when the little girl was 6 weeks old and we are only allowed to see her for 3 weeks every year which we have to pay over $2000 in flights to get her here and home. She stays with her grandmother for weeks at a time and we get a phone call from her once a month if we are lucky. We have a 16 m/o girl together and i am pregnant with our second DP works 40+ hours a week and i work nights just to make ends meet and boy are we struggling.
We don't mind paying child support but we are getting ripped off because she is lying about her income and we are getting ripped off in not seeing her grow up. DP's ex didnt even want child support until she found out i was pregnant for the first time saying "im only doing it because i think you will forget all about your eldest daughter"
Where is the fairness for fathers who want to be a part of their childrens lives. He is a good man and a better father i am yet to meet.
Maybe CSA is slow to respond because there are so many mothers out there trying to rip the system off.
