Different spelling for boys name Lock Rss

We're having a surprise baby in June and we've sort of picked out a boys name. Eli. But I don't like how short it is. If I added an e on the end to make it Elie would you, seeing it for the first time, pronounce it as Ellie or Eli?

I kind of like Elie but I don't want him called Ellie.

Hi! I have a two friends with son's with this name. One spells it Eli the other spells it Eligh. So maybe you can consider spelling it 'Eligh' so you can still have the name and it's not so short smile

what about Daniel?

I know a Eli i always think it looks like ET when seeing it written :"ET phone home!"

I am not a fan of changing spellings of names it drives me nuts... like i know 3 neave, neve, and Niamh all pronounced the same....

i know boys names are hard but we love our boys names
