10 months after cs Lock Rss

My daughter was born via cs over 10 months ago with no complications and my muscles still just dont feel the same. they get abit achey, and sort of have an irritated feel to them. Im fairly active, but i dont actually excercise. I dont feel i can do too much because my tummy muscles might hurt. Even a sneeze can make me feel uncomfortable.

Does anyone else experience this?? Is it normal?

Also, Im currently BF my daugher 3 times a day, sometimes 4, and AF still hasnt come back. I bled normal after the birth, but now i just get a crampy feeling once a month but no blood. Is that something to be concerned about??
I've had 3 c-sections, and your pain doesn't sound normal, it would be worth getting checked out. As for AF - you are still b/feeding, don't expect it back until after you have finished - lucky you! smile
I had one 2 years ago and my tummy still isnt right.

Thanx ladies smile In a strange way im glad its not normal because it means there should be something i can do to help it so i dont have to put up with it. Hopefully its just a matter of a few physio appointments or something.

I guess i am one of the lucky ones. We're definitely not trying for another bub yet. My DP doesnt want another and i do want another, but the thought of having one at the moment freaks me out lol.
Definitely go with your gut instinct, that it doesn't feel right. With my first c-section for months after I felt discomfort around there. I didn't do anything about it and just left it. Then when I fell pregnant with my second I had lots of pain and problems around the scar area. I tried for a VBAC and it failed due to the scar tissue not letting the labour progress. I only got to 5cm dilated. When the Dr got in there, he said it was a real mess and had to do a clean up job. Left me with a much better scar and with my third pregnancy I didn't have the pain that I did with the second.

Like the other girls said, you are so lucky that you AF hasn't come back. Mine came back after 4mths with all three of me kids.
I had a c-section only 14 weeks ago, and I have the same feelings around my scar that your describing. I had my doctor check it out and he said it was fine, just some scar tissue taking awhile to heal.
He said that sometimes you can get little blood clots below the surface of the skin, so it may be a good idea for you to get it checked out to be on the safe side.
All the best with your lil one and lucky you on the AF smile

hey i have a very similar situation to you apart from the af i got that pretty much straigh away, but ds is 10 months and still breast feeding.

i have always felt as though there is a twinge where i had my c section. it was alo very painful while having sex. the twinge used to be more painful but as i said more of a twinge now, the ob said that more than likely the scar tissue may of grabbed a nerve ass it was mending as every thing sort of just grasps together in a bid for the body to heal its self as quick as possible, he suggested massaging the area everytime i have a hot shower. however this was after i had ultrasounds and countless examinations to determine that noting else was wrong. if i was you id go to my gp and ask for a referal to your ob for a check up.
