Am 39 and am thinking I want to go for round 3 ADVICE PLS Rss

Hi so yes trying to beat the Kardashian's record lol no just think if I did we would have another girl. Don't know why but just think that. Our DD1 or 3yrs and DD2 is 9months. My doc said when I had DD2 that if we wanted another one to try before we are 40. Having baby's later on in life seems to be the new black lol. But seriously I think I do but are things that do concern me. Less likely TTC, problems can occur and how to juggle 3. We are both healthy people who don't drink/smoke if this helps. How do you have Nanna naps when you have a baby already? I'm sure there are people that do it and are fine. I'm sure I will be fine but just want to know what I'm thinking of getting myself into. My husband has worked away M-F through both of our childrens upbringing until now. So have basically been by myself and have managed ok. This is the first time in 5 years where we have actually living together because we moved away from the country to kind of a city for work. Thanks in advance to you all. xx

Do what makes you happy i am turning 35 this year and my last baby is 8 months the other day it hit me that i will be 69 when she is my age a little part thinks i have left it a little late , but then my kids if they have kids could have then younger then i had them. One doctor told me to have my kids before 34 ,but i have a friend whos mother had her at 45 so do what makes you happy, and good luck

I will also be 35 this year and have 3 children. For us going from 2 to 3 was much easier than 1 to 2. DD has just slottd into our family so easily smile I think she came with the knowledge that there were 2 older brothers and she would just have to fit in wink
I also never had nanna naps - just had no time inbetween kinder drop offs and pick ups and the daily tasks of a mummy, but I was pretty lucky and DD was a good sleeper, especially in the first 3 months or so when we co-slept and I was often able to get 4-6 hours of solid sleep smile

My gosh 3 under 2 shivers you have your work cut out for you then.

My circumstances make me a late bloomer all round!! I am 33 weeks with #2 and turn 42 a month after bub is due. DD1 is 16 months old....busy times ahead!! I am trying not to dwell on the fact that this is probably our last go at it sad Would love 3, but worry we may be pushing the gauntlet to go again. DH and I feel incredibly blessed...we both used to drink and smoke, not overly in shape...so have been incredibly lucky to fall pregnant easily both times. I am sure the first few weeks are going to be rather hairy until we find our groove smile

My advice would be to not get wherever you think 'past it' may be and think to yourself...oh bugger, we should have tried again...don't have any regrets! Be positive and don't listen to all that negative talk people love to share smile Each to their own! Only you and your DH can decide what is best for your family.

Good luck with your decision smile

Thank you so much for your positive response. Exactly don't want to get to a stage and think if only. I feel so old having kids so late compared to some of my school friends but no point when your not ready. It took me so long for my DH to convince me TTC lol. No point having a baby just for the sake of it or with any person at the time. How lucky are you that you conceived fast both times. Good for you hunny. It took us a little longer with DD#2. x

Yes meant to be

Hi there, I am 39 and wanting to conceive #3 too :0)
I had my DD at 33 and DS at 37 I thought I was done, but can't help but think that someone is still missing LOL. DS can be a real handful at the best of times and I think I must be crazy to want one more, but I am hoping that somehow it will all work out!
I have only just come off the pill and I am scared witless that I may have left it all too late and fear I may a long hard road ahead just TTC. This website is giving me hope though, as I have came across alot of mums in there late 30s, early 40s, so heres hoping #3 will come along soon grin
As for sleep, I don't get alot of that anyway, DS had tonsil/adenoid infections every month for almost 2 years and had to have them removed recently as they kept closing his throat, so nights have always been a funhouse here. I just cant sleep in the day, so I figure, I'll be fine with the night feeds again, I'm practically still in the routine of waking LMAO.
Good luck with your baby making and lots of baby dust to you **********

Oh I'm so glad you contacted me. So good when you have something in common with someone. You made me feel better about it all that's for sure. LOL yes I'm the same don't have a sleep during the day as well so may as well. But to be honest I was thinking just before in the bathroom 'oh can I go through this again going to the toilet all the time' lol. I went shopping yesterday and luckily brought some pregnancy tablets that was half price which is amazing but for some reason I'm keeping it at arms length haha. Talk about a bird on a wire. I think I need my DH home and discuss it more since hes been away. The first thing people have said is 'Oh can you afford it' and I worry gee maybe we shouldn't. Were fine we can pay our bills etc but we don't splurge on dinners, movies etc. My BF has 2 and said she didn't want to have another one because of the stress and for money reason and they 'have' money. I think to myself gee if she was worried about money then what are we thinking. But as I said to my Dad that found the tablets his eyes popped out of his head lol. We just moved from interstate so I think he thinks we should be a bit more settled. But hey times ticking and it still takes another 10 months and some haha.
