DIY Home Portrait, which camera better??? Lock Rss

Hi all, I recently got my boys to the Pixi studio to do some portrait and was total shocked on what they charged! The photos are nice but it's far tooo expensive. During the session, I didn't see any skill that's required to take those photos, I mean, with that camera they were using, everyone can be a photographer!

Instead of spending $$ on Pixi photos, I would rather get myself a digital SLR. I am interested in Nikkon D50 because it has a special function for taking baby photos. Did anyone have one of those? Are they easy to use and produce good quailty photos? Or is there any cheaper ones around that does the same function?

Thanks for any suggestion!
