Skill for Bub: Muscle builder, Hand/eye coordination
summary:
Your little fighter will love swatting at a big bouncy punching ball or beach ball.

This swatting action will help to stimulate baby’s gross motor skills as well as his hand-eye coordination. Here’s how to get him to start swinging:
- Lay baby down, face-up on the floor.
- Dangle a colourful punch ball (available at most toy stores) within your child’s reach.
- You can also use a small beach ball with a string attached.
- Encourage him to reach for it or give it a kick with his feet.
Don’t worry if your child doesn’t appear to respond to the toy. Remember, every baby develops on his own timetable. Bonus: This activity is also a great way to distract your child during a diaper change!
CHOKING HAZARD—Children under 8 yrs. can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. If you use a balloon, Adult Supervision is required. Keep uninflated balloons from children. Discard broken balloons at once.
