Cut out your felt and attach to velco for almost endless face combinations that will keep your little ones entertained for hours!

Funny Felt Faces
  • Step 1. Making the felt faces.

Cut out a face shape from paper or cardboard and trace around it onto sheets of felt. Two sheets are needed for each funny face.

Glue the sheets together using PVA glue, when dry cut out the faces and do a row of stitching near the edge for added strength.

  • Step 2. Making funny features.

You can make the funny features from fabrics, paper, carboard, felt or wallpaper. I used wallpapers from wallpaper sample books (available from your local decorating store) I cut out one set of features for each funny face including hair, eyes, ears, noses and mouths. I then stitched them together for added strength and a nice detailed finish.

  • Step 3. Cut small tabs of sticky backed velcro (the tooth side) and stick these onto the back of the features so the can be stuck and removed from the faces.
  • Step 4. mix and match.

Have fun making silly faces! I made two double sided faces with a set of silly features each so there are a total of 4096 different face combinations to be made!
