Help to read before starting school

Hi Brett. We have a 4 year old son who won`t be starting school until 2009. For about six months he has been asking a lot of questions about the alphabet, words and spelling, and I was wondering if you could recommend some books. I was thinking that if I had some suitable books, I could start to help him to learn to read before he starts school. Regards Louise

Answer: There are a number of great books at the Huggies Bookclub on alphabet and words. In particular Dr Seuss`s ABC and My First 350 Words, Alison Lester`s ABC and also Brainy Baby ABC`s dvd. The best way to introduce and build vocabulary is to read aloud and share a variety of stories. Make sure the books are age appropriate. The Huggies Bookclub will help you here.
