Sleep question

Our three week old daughter tends to have one or two "awake" times during every 24hr period. These last for between 1 and 3 hours. How can we encourage her to be awake during the day, instead of at three in the morning? When she is awake, she likes to be cuddled and have lots of attention. This is getting very tiring during the nights. If she is awake during the day I only need to get up for 30 minutes to feed a couple of times a night. Also, when she is asleep, she is asleep and won`t be woken. Any ideas to help shift her routine would be appreciated
