What constitutes moderate exercise?

Hi - my question is about exercise. I see myself as rather fit and healthy. I teacher aerobics twice a week. All the books say `exercise moderately`, `don`t get too hot`, `don`t raise your heart rate too high". But what constitutes moderate, too hot or too high? I am only 9 weeks.
Thanks

Answer: Hi Donna, Thank you for your enquiry. If you are used to a lot of exercises then you r body can tolerate a higher level during pregnancy. It is really up to you and how you feel as to how much exercise you do. Sometimes you can feel faint after strenuous exercise and this is a sign to slow down. Once the pregnancy progresses you will find that you won’t be able to sustain the level of exercise and it may be uncomfortable but then you might want to try alternate forms of exercise, such as swimming or walking. Best wishes, Alex
