I`ve had 3 positive test results, but the Doctor`s test said I wasn`t pregnant

Hi Alex, I`m a little confused?!? I had an ectopic pregnancy removed in November 2007 and was advised that as soon as I have any indication that I may be pregnant in the future to go straight back to my G.P. I normally get my period like clockwork but this month I`m 2 days late so I have done 3 home pregnancy tests and all had a positive result. I have gone today to see my G.P and feel like a bit of a goose as the urine test the Dr did came back negative. I have had a blood test but am still awating the results. I would have thought that the test done in the Dr`s surgery would be more accuate than one you buy at a pharmacy? Any advice?

Sarah...
Answer: Hi, The home pregnancy tests are usually quite accurate if used as directed. Discuss the results with your doctor as they may be able to provide more insight. Best wishes, Alex
