I am a bit confused about taking protein shakes during pregnancy
I am a bit confused about taking protein shakes during pregnancy. Articles that I have read say it is safe and some say stay away from them. I have just found out I am pregnant and I am 118kg. I was previously taking ISOWHEY and lost 6 kg. can I still use it? I don`t have my initial doctors appointment until 20th April and can`t wait till then to ask my doctor. I just don`t know what to do and I want to do whats wright for my unborn child. Any input would help.
It is advisable not to try to lose weight when you are pregnant. The best thing to do is to try not to gain much weight as the baby will be able to use your fat stores that are already present in order to grow. Try to eat a healthy diet with lots of fruit and vegetables and have plenty of regular exercise (such as long regular walks). This will help you enjoy your pregnancy and prepare you better for labour. It is best to cease the diet shakes for now.
