Doctor said that the baby`s head was over-hanging my pelvis

When I saw my doctor last week, he said that the baby`s head was over-hanging my pelvis. He didn`t seem to concerned about it but said that if it was still like that in late pregnance (I`m currently 35wks), that it would be a concern. Does this mean that I won`t go into labour as the baby`s head won`t drop down due to it resting on the pelvis? Or does it mean I could still go into labour, but that the baby won`t be able to come out?

I`m not really partial to the idea of a caesarean and is this a common problem that is usually fixed as the baby moves?

Answer: Hi, This is nothing to worry about. As the baby grows it will run out of room so will have to head down towards the pelvis. Best wishes, Alex
