Is it bad for the baby or me to be holding my tummy muscles in when standing to protect my back?
Hi, I`m 23 weeks pregnant and i am suffering terrible back pain starting at my shoulders all the way down to my bottom. I have just started to daily streches but i wanted to know is it bad for the baby for me to be holding my tummy tight (pulling the muscles in) when standing to protect my back?
These sorts of exercises are great during pregnancy. It is good to try to use these muscles during pregnancy as they help strengthen your back as well as your tummy. It is also good to remember your pelvic floor exercises as well.
