At 24 weeks my gp gave me a clinical gestation at 27 weeks

Hi Alex,
Im currently 28 weeks pregnant with number 2, and for the last 4 weeks I have been experiencing severe abdominal pain that I literally have to stop and breath through. Could these just be braxton hicks?? Also at my last GP visit at 24 weeks my gp gave me a clinical gestation at 27 weeks does that mean bubs is just big I have only put on 2 kgs so far in the preganancy.
thanks Lauren

Answer: Hi Lauren, You may have an irritable uterus that is causing you some discomfort. If you are sure of your dates then you are 24 weeks and the baby may be above average in size. Your weight gain is irrelevant at this stage in your pregnancy as the baby will make sure that it gets all the nutrients it needs. Best wishes, Alex
