We are very happy but very worried will it happen again this time

hi Alex , my name is trudy i have a 7 year old daughter and a 11 month old son i had a great pregnancy with chayannah then with jake i got pre-eclampsia witch was not picked up till i passed out at 34 weeks chayannah called her daddy and said mummys very fat and i cant get her up jason come home from work chayannah had called 000 and told them mummys and she needs help she was only 6 at the time i was at 220 ove 120 at the time i was very swollen by the time i got to the lgh i was having convulsions and had a emergency c-section as i have had migraines for about 15 years it was not odd for me i told doctors how i was not all that well and to that i got i was being silly that the baby was bigger that chayannah jake was 1900 grams and has had 10 trips to lgh two trips was icu we have just found out that im 10 weeks into a pregnancy we are very happy but very worried will it happen again beening a mother is the best thing and i love it

Answer: Hi Trudy, Wow it seems that you did have a really terrifying time with your previous pregnancy so I can understand your anxiety. The good news is that your health care professionals will be fully aware of your history so you will be very closely watched this pregnancy. You are at increased risk of developing pre eclampsia again but it is not definitely going to happen. You will need regular blood tests and check ups to look for signs of it developing but if it does it will be much more controlled this time and there will not be any emergencies. Best wishes, Alex
