Is the growth and development of twins the same as a single child birth?

I`m 10wks along with fraternal twins. My question is; is the growth and development the same as a single child birth? We already have a two and a half year old daughter, and I`ve been feeling the kicks and stretches for about a week, where as before it wasn`t till later that I felt the same movements.

Answer: Hi, Yes twins will grow and develop at the same rate. Usually with subsequent pregnancies you start feeling movements at 16 weeks. You may be feeling more stretching than with just one baby so this is what you may be experiencing. Best wishes, Alex
